2. How do we know we have worshipped properly?

I. Functional hands (Jn. 4:22; 1 Tim. 2:8).
A. People may worship as they see fit; we follow Jesus.
B. Scripture reveals the avenues of worship: singing, praying, reverential study,
communion and giving.
C. We must worship God on his terms.
II. Faithful mind (Heb. 11:4).
A. Abel’s faith produced good works (1 Jn. 3:12).
B. He offered God his very best in worship (Gen. 4:4).
C. God validated his offering because of his faith.
D. Faith makes our worship acceptable.
III. Fearful heart (Lk. 18:9-14).
A. The proud Pharisee named off his noble works.
B. The humble publican trusted in God’s mercy.
C. Both addressed “God”; only one was justified.
D. For our worship to be accepted, we must trust Him.
